KUDAT: Kudat Area Health Office (PKK) will hold the district level Health Mini Carnival for two days beginning from 8 December.
The programme will be launched by Sabah Health Director, Dr. Christina Rundi, at Dataran Esplanad Sidek, Kudat.
Kudat PKK Health Promotion Officer cum the project coordinator, Mohd Idahan Anuar, said various activities will be held for the public during the carnival, including health forums, and colouring contest themed ‘Kesihatanku Mahkotaku’.
‘The colouring contest is open to children aged between 7 to 9 and 10 to 12 years old.
“Dance exercise competition will also be held by KOSPEN community group, and Kudat division for Combi Advisory and ‘Communication for Behaviour Change’ Panel, besides from the friendly match for women volleyball game at Tun Mustapha Hall,” he said in a statement.
He added that friendly football match between Kudat district department chiefs, Sabah Health Department, and Kudat Area Health Office will be held at 4.15pm at the district Sports Centre.
A 7km mini marathon is also planned for the event in 9 December (Wednesday, where it will begin at 6.30am starting from Esplanad Sidek, and registration fee is set at RM3.00 per person.
The run is divided into three categories for veteran (above 45), men and women open (18-44 years old), and students (17 and below).

Demonstration for land and sea rescue operations will also be held with the cooperation of Kudat JBPM department, District Police Headquarters (PDRM), Malaysian Maritime Division (PPM), Kudat District Hospital, and Kudat Area Health Office. -SayangSabah
