KOTA KINABALU – Sabah is capable of becoming an excellent tourism destination in this part of the world.
The Malaysian Muslim Welfare Organisation (PERKIM) Honorary Secretary Tan Sri Mohammad Yusof Noor commended on the state’s proactive policy exclusively on the tourism development.
The veteran leader said that tourists from across the world visit Sabah because of its impressive scenery and beauty of nature.
“Sabah is a beautiful state with various interesting places to visit,” he said.
He also stated that Sabah had undergone tremendous development under the leadership of the Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.
Yusof who is a former federal minister believed that Musa could bring more development in Sabah.
“I have known him for awhile and he (Musa) is such a dedicated and hardworking person,” he said during a courtesy call at Musa’s official residence in Sri Gaya, today.
During his visit to Sri Gaya, he disclosed that PERKIM would be holding its general assembly in Sabah on June this year. More than 600 delegates throughout Malaysia were expected to participate in the assembly.
Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammed is expected to officiate the assembly. –SayangSabah
