NABAWAN: Financial assistance of RM1,234,650 has been spent by the government this year in November to help OKU group.
The Community Rehabilitation Programme (PDK) is also held to give OKUs the much needed trainings to acquire skills and to manage their daily activities.
The state Minister of Community Development and Consumer Affairs, Datuk Hajah Jainab Datuk Seri Panglima Hj. Ahmad Ayd, said currently there are 508 operational PDK centres nationwide with 21,869 OKUs being helped.
“The ministry has also launched the PurpleDNA project for craft making as a social innovation iniative to improve the economy level of PDKs,” she added.
