PUTATAN: Putatan Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCCI) gave cheer to two families with their donation of ‘ang pao’ .
Headed by Datuk Frankie Liew, the group visited the recipients Lim Fong [email protected] Lim Fung Sue, 78, who lived in Kg. Potuki and Lee Choi Hing, 74 from Kg. Contoh, Putatan.
They are both unemployed due to sickness and old age and are squatting on another person’s land.
Lim have three children aged from 17 to 9 years old, with the youngest not attending school for not having a birth certificate. Lee Choi Hing have two children and eight grandchildren, with most of his grandchildren also not attending school.
Liew expressed his hope that the donations will bring happiness for the two families in celebrating Chinese New Year.
“The donation may not be much, but it is a sign of remembrance and love for the unfortunates, and to help them with their burden,” he said.
Vice chairman of PCCCI, Kapitan David Lo, Secretary Encik Yong Kin Tian, Treasurer Encik Wong Pin Soon and the PCCCI committees attended the event. – SayangSabah
