KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Deputy Chief Minister cum Minister of Infrastructure, Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, denies  allegation that PBS’ expansion plan  was a ‘Trojan Horse’  for  UMNO  to enter Sarawak.

He explained that the plan has been discussed since 1995 and accepted through a representative conference.

“The plan is to take into consideration the supporters from Sabah who are living in Sarawak and Peninsular,” he said., adding that there were many who settled in these two regions.

Pairin was speaking at the press conference for State Assembly, here, today.

The expansion plan, he said, will give Sabahans living in Sarawak and Peninsular the opportunity to play their roles in politics.

A larger PBS operation will  strengthen the relation between Sabah, Sarawak, and Peninsular Malaysia, he added. –SayangSabah
