Parents told to be active in schools’ programmes

TENOM: The community especially parents are urged to lend their energy and knowledge in activities organized by the schools to improve students’ performance.

, said the cooperation between all quarters including teachers are important in increasing students’ quality as well as improving the school’s image.

He added that the cooperation is also in line with Malaysia Education Development Plan 2013-2025.

“The cooperation between schools, parents, community, and private sectors will help in producing quality students and meeting the nation’s demand for an excellent human resource,” he said in his speech for officiating the UPSR Motivation with Parents of Basku Zone programme at Dewan terbuka SK Ulu Temani, here today.

His speech text was delivered by Tenom UMNO Youth Deputy Secretary, Mohd Taslim Tahir.

According to Jamawi, who is also UMNO Youth Liaison Chief, parents’ active involvement in schools’ programme will give them a clear picture of their children education development.

Motivational seminar programmes play a bigger role in students’ development as they are exposed to many elements which may affect their focus in learning, he added. – SayangSabah
