KOTA KINABALU: Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia will be assuming the role of United Sabah Bumis Organisation (USBO)
president, effective immediately.
Communications and Multimedia Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak in a press statement posted on his blog post, sskeruak.blogspot.my, said he had taken leave as president of the non-governmental organisation, which is affliated to the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition, to allow him to concentrate on his duty as a minister in the federal cabinet.
“During my leave, Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia, who is USBO’s deputy president 1, will carry out the duties of USBO president. I have discussed with Tan Sri Pandikar over this matter and he has agreed to accept it,” he said.
The other two deputy presidents of USBO are Datuk Salsidu Ibrahim and Datuk Amir Kahar Tun Mustapha, while Member of Parliament for Silam Datuk Datu Nasrun Datu Mansur is the secretary-general.- BERNAMA
