KOTA KINABALU: Pan Borneo Highway Project will act as an agent to develop rural region in the project through land development along the highway.
According to Chief Minister of Sabah Datuk Panglima Musa Hj. Aman, the launching of the 706 kilometre with the cost of RM12.8 billion project, will be inaugurate by the Prime Minister on April in Papar.
“I believed that the construction of the highway will give a positive impact to the development of socio economy of the people of this state of which is a prove that the government are committed to the development of infrastructure and economy of Sabah,” he said in his inaugural speech on Jeraya Sabah 2016 day at Sutera Harbour, here, today.
The first phase of this construction project will involve the route from Sindumin to Kudat and Miles 33, Sandakan to Tawau.
The construction of this highway will also stimulate the connection road between Sabah and Sarawak as well as Brunei.-SayangSabah
