KOTA KINABALU – Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan is still waiting for a letter of appointment as chairman of the working committee to study the recommendations of the Royal Commission of Inquiry on Illegal Immigrants in Sabah.
The letter of appointment was needed sothathe knew his responsibility and scope in formulating an action plan to resolve the illegal immigrant problem before submitting it to the Permanent Committee.
“We will discuss the role and and responsibility of the working committee so that we can move faster,” the Sabah Deputy Chief Minister told reporters when receiving a courtesy call from Home Ministry officials, here today.
He said although the working committee members had yet to receive their letter of appointment, they were willing to accept the post to resolve the immigrant issue. – BERNAMA
