PUTATAN: Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Yahya Hussin stressed that Sabah rights on lands and natural resources in the state are preserved.
“We have rights for water, logs, lands, and other natural resources in the state. Outsiders cannot question these rights,” he commented on the state government’s decision to ban certain individuals from entering the Sabah.
Previously, Yahya officiated the Conference of Putatan Division UMNO Branches 2015 at Dewan Serbaguna Pasir Putih, here, which were also attended by the Women, Youth, and Puteri leaders.
From the migration regulation perspective, the state government has the authority to prevent certain individuals from entering the state.
“Outsiders who are deemed to be threatening the unity and harmony of Sabah people will not be allowed to enter the state,” he added.
In his speech, Yahya also advises the 138 Putatan Division UMNO branches to organize their own meeting and follow the party’s constitution.
“Strengthen our unity and attract more members especially from the youths as a preparation for the next General Election (GE),” he said.
All UMNO branches in 24 divisions across the state will begin with their meetings from 14 March to 20 April. – SayangSabah
