KOTA KINABALU: The Inanam State constituency has 50 JKKK and four Urban Development Committee (JKDB).

However, until 31 March 2015, only 20 JKKK and three JKDB are still officially elected.

Sabah Minister of Rural Development, Datuk Radin Malleh, said the information received from the state Ministry of Local Government and Housing shows that there are 51 positions for village chiefs in Inanam.

“But the number of registered village chiefs is only 45. My ministry is only responsible in appointing JKKK chairman and JKDB, while the village chief posts are under the jurisdiction of the state Ministry of Local Government and Housing,” he said in the 14th State Legislative Assembly, today.

He was responding to the question raised by Dr. Roland Chia (PKR-Inanam) on the name lists for JKKK chairmen, JKDB, and village chiefs for DUN Inanam and their service terms, date of appointment, and end of service terms. – SayangSabah
