KUALA LUMPUR: Young writers now have a new platform to publish their work, which is by using the ‘Novelplus’ application which can be downloaded for free in their smart phones.
Novelplus Sdn Bhd general manager Crystal Lai said the application was developed to enable freelance writers to publish their work, and get followers.
“With this application, it will change the reading style of the society, which they can do for free from their smart phones, which is easy to use. Our objective is to provide opportunities for everybody with access to the Internet and desire to produce interesting literary works,” she said at the launch of the application here today.
Lai said the application also provides an opportunity for exchange of views among users of the application, as well as encourage reading in the society.
She said Novelplus now has more than 500 Malay literary works by 250 local writers, as well as from Indonesia, Singapore and Brunei, of all ages.
The theme varies, from love, horror, comedy, etc, she added.
She said the application is available at Google Store and Apple Appstore through www.novelplus.com, adding that it has been downloaded by more than 17,000 users.- BERNAMA
