KUALA LUMPUR: Police have denied that vehicles were buried in the landslide at KM52.4 of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway near Lentang-Bukit Tinggi.
The landslide occurred at 7.18pm tonight.
Bentong police chief Supt Mohamad Mansor Mohd Nor said police did not receive any reports to the effect.
Initial reports saying some vehicles were buried in the landslide are untrue. Only three cars and a lorry were affected in that they made contact with some debris. That is all.
“I advise the public not engage in speculation on the incident as thus will only aggravate the situation,” he said when contacted by Bernama.’
That stretch of the highway has been closed to traffic in both direction to facilitate clean up work. – BERNAMA
