KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government adopted a policy not to bring in Bangladeshi workers three years ago, said Minister of Human Resource Development and Information Technology Datuk Siringan Gubat.
He said the decision not to utilise Bangladeshis as foreign workers was made by the State Cabinet.
“There is no issue here. The policy still stands not to allow them to come in,” he said in a statement responding to a viral social media posting that claimed Sabah was allowing the entry of Bangladeshi workers.
He also said that people should stop fabricating reports and spreading rumours on such a serious matter just for political mileage. – BERNAMA
