KOTA KINABALU: The National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) office in Wisma Perkeson near Tanjung Aru here will be moving to Harbour City on September 1.
“The new office will provide more rooms to conduct more seminars and courses to meet the needs of the industries.
“Each year we conducted some 400 activities and participated by more than 5,000 people from the various industries and the numbers had increased over the years due to awareness and the enforcement we imposed,” said NIOSH Sabah & Labuan Regional Office manager Mohd Hussin Abd Salam during their Hari Raya 2015 luncheon at a resort here today.
Meanwhile, he said the 4th Borneo Conference and Exhibition on Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) 2015 will be held in Kuching, Sarawak on August 16-18.
The biennial event first held in Kota Kinabalu is aimed to discuss the current issues and challenge in occupational safety and health, he said, adding that BOSH brings together regulators, practitioners, experts, researchers and suppliers towards a common aspiration to achieve a safer and healthier workplace for all.-Sayangsabah
