KENINGAU: Nine more individuals were detained to help with the murder case of a college student from Kg. Durok Keningau, who was found dead at the ladies toilet in Keningau District Offiece, here, at 9.30am on 23 February.
District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Douglas Taong, said the arrest on the nine individuals makes the amount of arrest to 12 people as of now, with eight men where one of them was the victim’s friend, and four women.
“We hope with the arrest will help with the investigation the murder case. The police is confident that it can be solved soon,” he told the media at Keningau District Police Headquarters (IPD).
On last 23 February, the victim Sairah Fitri Tifanus, 20, a college student of Saito College in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, was undergoing her practical training at Keningau District office since 12 January 2015 until 6 March 2015, when she was murdered.
The victim was confirmed murdered after an autopsy at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kota Kinabalu, found two stab wounds on the victim’s body, injuring her neck muscle and right arteries, with another stab wound injured her rib cage and damaging her respiratory system and blood vessels. – SayangSabah
