KOTA KINABALU-Negotiation to free four local men that was kidnaped at Pulau Ligitan waters, Semporna on April 1st still ongoing, said Deputy National Chief Police, Datuk Seri Noor Rashid Ibrahim.
According to Rashid, Malaysian government and Malaysian Royal Police (PDRM) is still negotiating with the kidnapers.
“I hope that the negotiation will lead to success,” he said to the reporters during the Shooting Competition in conjunction with 209th Police Memorial Day 2016 at Ibu Pejabat Polis (IPK) Sabah Contingent, here, today.
In addition, he said that all the victim are in a good and safe condition.
He added the police have not had any plan to bring the next of kin of the victims to Philippine until the negotiation is done.
Previously, all the victims were the crew of tugboat that is on its way to go back to homeland after sending timbers to Manila, Philippine.
They are known as Wong Hung Sing, 34, Wong Teck Kang, 31, Wong Teck Chii,29 dan Johnny Lau Jung Hien, 21.-SayangSabah
