Musa’s leaderships reflected by Sabah Foundation achievements

KOTA KINABALU: The Chief Minister’s track records in Sabah Foundation Group which began in 1995 as its Director is the beginning of a new chapter for the state-owned foundation.

During his tenure, Datuk Seri Musa Aman has proven that his promises for an excellent administration and commitment in leading the organization to a higher level were not an empty talk.

In his five years as Sabah Foundation Director, the organization has become more dynamic and active in human resource development aspect which focus on education from pre-school until tertiary education level.

Believing firmly in learning as a lifetime journey, he took serious efforts in realizing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in education between Sabah Foundation, State Government, and Edith Cowan University in Australia.

However, he has to resigned from his position when he was appointed as a Minister in the Chief Minister Office in 1999, after he won the state seat of Sibuga.

In 2003, Musa once again joined the organization of Sabah Foundation after he was elected as its Board of Trustee Chairman, where he took the opportunity to transform Sabah Foundation as a more competitive organization and raises its image in the international level.

As its Chairman, he continues to focus on education aspect by increasing the courses offered in Sabah Foundation College to create more opportunities for Sabah youths to further their studies, as well as exploring new investment in commercial business.

As a visionary leader with vast experience in business, he (Musa) has strengthened Sabah Foundation in commercial sector through its active involvement in forestry,” says Sabah Foundation Director, Datuk Sapawi Ahmad.

Sapawi was giving his speech at the 20 Years with Sabah Foundation Group programme at Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa, where it also celebrates Musa’s 64th birthday.

On behalf of all Sabah Foundation families, we want to show our appreciation to Datuk Seri Musa Aman who has lead us to a higher level,” he added.

Musa’s 20 years of leadership in Sabah Foundation has transformed the organization as an important public entity through its major part in developing Sabah. – SayangSabah
