MPWS set up blog

Hanaa Wong Abdullah

KOTA KINABALU:  Sabah Women and Media Advisory Council Committee (MPWS) has set up its official blog to publish the latest news touching on women issues in the state.

Its Chairperson, Hanaa Wong Abdullah, said for the first time after 25 years of MPWS founding, its blog www.mpwsonline.com has been successfully launched with its initial contents in Malay and English languages, while news articles in two other languages, Chinese and KadazanDusun, are planned to be added soon.

She said it is part of the women committee’s strategies to approach various communities and especially women, as well as to provide reading and reference materials for school students who are taking the KadazanDusun language as part of their subject.

“I hope the news blog will help to educate, inform the latest news on women, and improve everyone’s understanding on the role of MPWS in developing women in the state.

“The blow will launched this year, and we will include activities and programmes organized by all committees under MPWS which includes economy, education, health, law, gender social, and women and media,” she said during the Luncheon Talk with NGOs and Aidilfitri celebration at Wisma Wanita Ballroom, yesterday.

The event held by MPWS received the attendance of 300 guests from 60 NGO organizations in Sabah. – SayangSabah
