KOTA KINABALU: About RM350,000 have been raised for the Sabah Social Service Council (MPMS) which was set up in 7 June to help the Mount Kinabalu mountain guides and natural disaster victims in Ranau and Kota Belud.
Sabah Minister of Community Development and Consumer Affairs, Datuk Jainab Ahmad Ayid, said she appreciates the contributions made by every party in helping the affected victims.
“Everyone played an important role in extending help and care for each other, she told the media.
Meanwhile, she also expresses her appreciation to Oceanus Waterfront Mall for its donation of RM100,000 for the affected victims and organizing the breaking of fast ceremony with earthquake volunteers yesterday.
“I would also like to thank Felda Global Ventures Holding Sdn Bhd for its donation of RM150,000 and these donations will be used responsibly,” she said. – SayangSabah
