KUALA LUMPUR: The remand order for the mother and stepfather of a two-year-old girl who died allegedly from abuse in a condominium in Wangsa Maju on Nov 6 has been extended six more days from today, police said.
Wangsa Maju Police chief Supt Mohamad Roy Suhaimi Sariff said a friend and the ex-wife of the man had been released.
“A post-mortem showed that the girl died from haemorrhage in the head and the bleeding was recent,” he told reporters after witnessing a shooting training session among the police, media and courts personnel as well as the Police Welfare Association (Perkep).
The girl, who lived with her stepfather, was said to have vomitted and lost consciousness and was rushed to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital on Nov 6. She died on the same day.
Police remanded the girl’s mother and stepfather as well as his friend on Nov 8. – BERNAMA
