MENUMBOK: Mosque should be ‘One-stop Centre’ for information for the surrounding community.

Assistant Minister of Women, Family, and Community Development, Datuk Azizah Mohd. Dun, said a people friendly approach needs to be prioritized to attract youth to be involved in Mosques and its activities.

.“Various methods can be done together with government agencies or departments to develop mosque continually and not only  during certain time,” she said in her speech for officiating the Kepayan Skim Mosque in Menumbok, here today.

She also presented a personal donation to Kepayan Skim  and for the impoverished communities in the area.

She also said that a mosque is not built only as a qariah symbol, but also a place where beneficial activities for the communities are held.

Everyone must give their commitments and play their roles in cultivating virtues especially among the young generation as a guideline in their daily lives, she added.

She also urged all mosque leaders to be more proactive, progressive, and effective in their religious activities. – SayangSabah
