KOTA KINABALU- More than 70 building professionals representatives of architect, engineers,developers, suppliers and the people that keen to promote green building participate in the Waste Management and Green Roof 2016 seminar, today.
This seminar inaugurated by Kota Kinabalu City Hall Mayor, Datuk Yeo Boon Hai at Melati Ballroom, Promenade Hotel, here.
In his inauguration speech, Yeo said that he is glad to know that the building professionals care about the cleanliness and environment matters.
“So I am very glad to know that the building professionals, led by MGBC, share the same concern and are organizing this timely seminar. This problem is not DBKK problem alone, it involves everybody in this city.”
He added managing waste is not solely about rubbish disposal, it is about changing mindset from linear to circular model.
The seminar was organized by Malaysian Green Building Confederation (MGBC) led by the Chairman MGBC Sabah chapter, Ar. Mok Juang Yu, to create awareness and explanation on managing industry waste as well as encouraging green roof and building.
Also present were the committee member of MGBC Sabah Chapter, representatives from the allied professionals; Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia (PAM), Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), Association of Consulting Engineering Malaysia (ACEM), Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) and Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (SHAREDA).-SayangSabah
