ISKANDAR PUTERI: The National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK) has identified 178 drug addiction hotspots across the country.
Its deputy-director general (Operations) Izhar Abu Talib told a press conference here today that they encompassed urban, suburban as well as rural
He said as of last year, Penang had the highest number of drug addicts at 7,272, Perak (6,086), Kedah (5,636), Selangor (5,300) and Johor (4,751).
Earlier, he had made a courtesy call on Johor State Secretary Datuk Ismail Karim at the latter’s office here.
He was accompanied by AADK deputy director-general (Operations) Azizan Ariffin and State AADK director Sidek Jaffar.- BERNAMA
