SEMPORNA: The Semporna Marine Operations Force (MOF) has seized cosmetics and medicines worth RM2,712 in the waters off Pulau Boheyan,
near here yesterday.
Sabah MOF Region Four Commander ACP Mohamad Madun said all these goods were seized by a patrol team which detained a pump boat in the area at about 12.55 pm on Sunday.
“At the time it was detained, the skipper of the boat was a 39-year-old man, believed to be from Sitangkai Island in the Philippines, and among the goods seized were 144 boxes of Tiki-Tiki Plus, 144 bottles of ‘Juicy Cologne’, and 144 ‘Sang-Ing Cream’,” he said in a statement here.
He said the goods were believed to have been smuggled from the Philippines.
He added that all the goods and the man had been taken to the Semporna MOF base for further action. – BERNAMA
