TENOM: The 2-year-old child who was reported missing last night in Kg. Kuala Toloksom, Kemabong, has been found at 10.25am this morning.

The child, Healezry Zeandfly bin Henderi, was found safe in a forest nearby his house by the fire and rescue team, helped by the local villagers.

“The child was safe when we found him, though he was hungry. We sent him home immediately to his family and for further treatment,” said the rescue operation officer, Mohd Ali Shahiranizam, today.

In the last night incident, his family realized that he was missing when he went out to the lawn at 8.13pm.

“One of the neighbor saw the boy went out through the front door,” he said, adding that the boy’s mother was in the bathroom when the boy went out on his own.

Family members and the villagers tried to find the missing child but failed, before they decided to make a report at the fire and rescue station and police for help.

“The boy’s house is located in a rubber plantation area, while at the back of the residence is a Padas River,” he said. – SayangSabah
