KOTA KINABALU: The government through the state Ministry of Industrial Development is committed in implementing economic empowerment for Bumiputera community and achieve the target of Vision 2020, as announced recently.
Its Deputy Minister, Datuk Bolkiah Haji Ismail, said in fulfilling the purpose, his ministry has organized various skills courses and marketing activities this year.
“The Sabah Entrepreneurs Transformation programme (TRUS-MID) and MID 2015 Entrepreneurship Workshop are planned for participants to receive vital information for becoming independent in progressing further, instead of them attending and wait for government assistance,” he said during officiating the closing ceremony for TRUS-MID and 2015 Entrepreneurship Workshop, at Le Meridien Hotel, last night.
His text speech was delivered by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Datuk Haji Hashim Paijan.
He also said both of the programmes have created positive impact on entrepreneurs who joined the programmes.
“Sales record from entrepreneurs involved with both programmes and the number of those receiving Malaysia Halal certificate have also increased,” he added.
TRUS-MID 2015 also give its 25 entrepreneurs free new packages and designs that fulfil the standard of global market.
Some 15 participants have also been selected from across Sabah for exposition on business planning preparation which will help them in improving their business knowledge through the MID 2015 Entrepreneurship Workshop.
Both programmes have been held since June this year. –SayangSabah
