KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Youth Council (MBS) with its 13 Combine Members will support the commitment in improving its programmes to be more effective, and covering the whole state.
Its President, Nourman Ryan Awang Zaini, said for this year’s term MBS will focus on creating more opportunities for the youths in the mainstream arena by the setting up of District Youth Council (MDB) across the state.
“We appreciate the commitment of youth organization leaders in the state, who are always giving their services and also for their patience and sincerity in carrying their duties.
“MBS has reached a consensus with the Registrar of Youth Organization (ROY) regarding on MDB in Sabah and hopefully this issue will be solved during my tenure as MBS President,” he said in his speech for the Sabah Youth Consultation Council Conference (PMPBNS), here today.
Nourman also touch on several issues related to unity and extremism.
He said, the public especially the youths must be proud with their unity and solidarity as a community with diverse ethnicity in Sabah, as it mirrors the true concept of 1Malaysia.
“We support the aspiration of Sabah Ministry of Youth and Sports in making the programmes under MBS and its combined bodies in Sabah to accommodate everyone regardless of their race, religion, or political affinity,” he said.
Touching on extremism issue, he said there are yet any radical cases involving youths from the state, and MBS will stress on the importance to reject extremism in its programmes. – SayangSabah
