KOTA KINABALU: The court set 1 and 2 February next year for the trial of a local man charged with possessing stolen item.
Magistrate Jessica Ombou Kakayun fixed the date after the accused maintained his stand of not guilty for the crime.
John Jimlok, 41, was accused of keeping a gold necklace stolen from a 57-year-old woman in Segama, at 8.20am in 1 October this year.
He was charged under Section 411 of the Penal Code which carries the punishment of up to five years jail, a fine, or both, upon conviction.
