KUALA LUMPUR: The body of a man stuffed in a clothing bag was found in a drain at Jalan Cecawi, Section 6, Kota Damansara today.
Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Azmi Abu Kassim said the man was believed to have been dead for two days based on the condition of the body which was found at 1.15pm.
“His head was wrapped with a tote bag from the Cold Storage mall while his hands and legs were tied with yellow wires. The man was wearing a green shirt and dark-coloured jeans,” he said in a statement.
He said the body was stuffed in a black bag measuring 0.8 metres x 0.5 meter (2.6 ft x 1.9 ft) that was cling wrapped.
Azmi said the were no injuries on the victim.
Azmi said the body was sent to the Sungai Buloh Hospital and that the post-mortem would be done tomorrow morning.
He said based on a witness’ statement, the suspect who brought the bag appeared to be a man in his 30s, was tall and tanned, had short hair and was
attired in a grey collared T-shirt and dark pants.
“The suspect was seen heaving the bag before disappearing, the bag was later found in the drain,” he said, adding that there were no closed circuit TVs in the vicinity and no weapoons were found. Police have classified the case as murder.- BERNAMA
