JOHOR BAHARU: Former secretary of the Keadilan Youth movement SD Mohammad Johari Yasin was killed when the car he was driving skidded and crashed onto the road divider at KM99.4 of the North-South Highway near Yong
Peng yesterday afternoon.
Batu Pahat OCPD, ACP Din Ahmad said that in the incident at about 3 pm, the 44-year-old contractor died at the scene of the incident.
“The accident occurred when SD Mohamad Johari and his friend, Noorazly Ja’Alam, 41, were believed to be travelling from Johor Baharu towards Kuala Lumpur.
“Upon arriving at the location, SD Mohamad Johari was believed to have lost control of the car, a Mercedes Benz E250, and crashed onto the road divider,” he said when contacted here today.
Din said the crash resulted in SD Mohamad Johari suffering severe injuries while Noorazly escaped with light injury.
He said SD Mohamad Johari’s remains were sent to Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail (HSNI), Batu Pahat for a post mortem while Norazly was also sent to the same hospital for treatment.- BERNAMA
