TAWAU: A man was sentenced with seven days jail by the Magistrate Court for breaking a police booth window and caused losses up to RM2,000 in damages.
Normansyah Amat, 30, pleaded guilty before Magistrate Mohd Harith Mohd Mazlan for the act committed at 10am at Fajar Police Booth in 7 September ago.
Based on the facts of case, the accused smashed the window of the police facility with a piece of wood by the complainant who was waiting for a taxi in front of Milimewa Fajar.
Police personnel arrived shortly after receiving a call from the complainant to arrest and bring the accused to the police station.The complainant also went to the district police station to lodge a report.
Normansyah was charged under Section 427 of the Penal Code which carries a punishment of up to two years jail, a fine, or both, upon conviction.
