TAWAU: A man’s body with a stab wound on its left chest, believed to be inflicted by a Bugis knife, was found at the squatters settlement at Kg. Sri Menanti, nearby Airport Lama, here, around 9.00pm last Tuesday.
Tawau District Police Chief, ACP Fadil Marsus, said in his statement there was no identification document found on the body of the victim, who was in his 30s.
A team of police personnel had been rushed to the scene after receiving information from the villagers who claimed that a man was stabbed at the settlement.
‘Inspection at the site has discovered several blood stains on the house wall, but none was found on the wet and muddy ground, and there was no weapon found at the scene,” he said, adding that the motive leading to the man’s death is still being investigated.
Fadil said they believe the suspect for the murder case is in his 30s, around 5’2 in height, mild skinned, and have tattoos on both of his arms, calves (human head design), and right thigh.
The case is classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code. -SayangSabah
