KENINGAU: A 61-year-old local man was found dead inside a hotel room, here, last Wednesday.
District Police Chief, DSP Douglas Nyeging Taong, said the police received a call from the public at 8.40pm, reporting that a man staying at room NO.204 at the hotel was lying unconscious on the bed and was believed to have passed away.
Upon receiving the information, a team of police have been sent to the scene to carry out investigation.
“We took pictures of the scene location, and the victim’s body has been delivered to Keningau Hospital for autopsy,” he said.
At 11.30am Thursday, the doctor in charge of the autopsy, Dr. Mark Tay Wen Kuang, declared that the victim’s death was caused by heart attack.
The victim’s body has been claimed by his family and no criminal element was found.
The case is classified as a sudden death. –SayangSabah
