KOTA KINABALU: Malaysia-China bilateral relation after 42 years remains strong especially in economy and diplomatic ties.

Sabah Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Hj. Aman, said the strong ties between both countries are a historic cooperation ties that was initiated by the former Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak.

“Through this close relation, we hope for more companies from China to invest in Malaysia,” he said during the 42nd anniversary of Malaysia-China relation at Likas Sports Complex, yesterday.

Musa also said the cooperation will further strengthened in other sectors, specifically in the tourism industry since more Chinese tourists visited the country.

He said Sabah is a state that is rich with colourful festivals that are celebrated by its diverse communities.

“Celebrations in the state are joined by all communities despite them coming from different cultures and faiths,” he said.

The event also held a performance by acrobatic team and attended by more than one thousand visitors. –SayangSabah
