Maintain excellent track record MDK told

 KENINGAU: Deputy Chief Minister, Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan told Keningau District Council (MDK) to maintain its excellent performance.
 “I hope the Council will maintain its outstanding record and increase their performance even higher this year and in the future,” he said in his speech while witnessing the swearing-in and delivery of letter of appointment ceremony for the Members of Keningau District Council 2015/2016 here, yesterday.
 The awards received by MDK for three years consecutively from 2012 until last year are the products of its high commitments and teamwork among its members with other agencies and the departments from both Federal and State government.
 “The synergy must be maintained and improved by focusing on the cleanliness and beautification aspects, thus making Keningau as the finest exemplary township in the State’s interior area,” he added.
Nineteen of the  20  District Council Members were sworn-in for the 2015/2016 term in the presence of the District Council chairman, Yusop Osman who is also the District Officer.
The swearing-in ceremony included seven new faces appointed to the office, mainly  Datuk Justin Guka, Kennedy Datuk John, Nik Nadzri Nik Zawawi, Amir Haji Jani, Pang Shu Kin @ Pang Shu Hin, Hadimin Jamburi and Ang Lui Meng.
The previous members of the District Council who retained their office are Datuk Dr Bernard S Maraat, Azman Haji Ruslan, Datuk Daniel Kinsik, Annuar Datuk Ayub, Vincent Lee @ Lee Yung Soon, Alfian Koroh, Kapitan Liew Ket Lim @ Osman Liew, Sahanip Jamil,  Dolores Umbol and Chee Sik Lai. –  Sayang Sabah
