KOTA KINABALU: The federal government should listen to the grouses voiced by the Sabahan people and take necessary steps to resolve their issues
Putatan MP, Datuk Dr. Marcus Markin Mojigoh, was speaking during a press conference for the school equipment assistance presentation by AFFIN Holdings Berhad, at Promenade Hotel, this morning.
He said issues such as traffic congestion and poor roads in Sabah must be solved by giving necessary allocations via the federal government in order to repair road infrastructures in the state.
“If tourists visit Kuala Lumpur, they will see the roads there are in great shape. But when they come to Sabah, they will give negative comments when they have to go through traffic congestion and bad roads,” he said.
He also pointed that he has voiced the issue in the Parliament and hopes the federal government will come up with a solution.
“Representatives are bound to serve the people and I hope that more parties will come forward to fight for issues related to the state,” he said.
While the federal government has channelled the necessary allocation to solve the problem, he stressed that many issues are in need of attention and immediate solution. –SayangSabah
