KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Foundation Group (KYS) needs to be adventurous in transforming its social programmes by prioritizing creativity and focusing on new innovations.
The Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Musa Aman, voiced his opinion in the matter as he wants the organisation to be able to face the fast-changing challenges in the future.
“KYS administration will have to take a strategic approach. It will become the mainframe for all KYS social programmes.
“A comprehensive plans will reflect KYS commitment in aspiring the people in our beloved nation,” he said in the 20 Years with Sabah Foundation Group.
Also present at the event were his wife, Datin Seri Faridah Tussin, Sabah DUN Speaker, Datuk Salleh Said, his deputies, Datuk Yahya Hussin and Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah, and KYS director, Datuk Sapawi Ahmad.
The programme also celebrate Musa’s 64th birthday, and the launching of KYS 2013-2023 Tranformation Book.
Musa, who is also Sabah Foundation Board of Trustee Chairman, added the transformation of an organization is important as it is part of the transition process towards a more high-tech approach to increase competitiveness.
“I am confident that KYS is able to achieve its target in its strategic planning. Its blueprint promises great achievements, which I believe that KYS is able to fulfill.
“it includes the increase in sponsorships, the intake of children, as well as producing more first class graduates in technical and tertiary level, and encouraging the rural communities to become progressive small business owners,” he said. – SayangSabah
