KOTA BELUD – Nine hundred units of homes under the People’s Housing Programme (PPR) will be built at Kampung Pirasan, Kota Belud; with the cost of RM180 million.
Chief Minister of Sabah Datuk Seri Musa Aman said that the initiative shows the Federal government’s strong commitment in providing sufficient number of affordable houses that will benefit and give comfort to the people.
He was speaking to reporters at the site inspection of the PPR house units project under the Minister of Urban Well being, Housing and Local Government.
The PPR was set up with the aim to provide those in low income group and local squatters who are resettled with housing facilities for rent or sale.
The housing project will be equipped with public infrastructure such as hall, nursery, mosque, playground and shops.
The Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is expected to officiate the project on March, 1. – SayangSabah
