PAPAR: Efforts by the Ministry of Communication and Multimedia (KKMM) in helping the government to channel information efficiently to the public especially for those in rural areas should be continued.
Kawang Assemblyman (ADUN), Datuk Ghulam Haidar Khan Bahadar, said it is to cultivate patriotism among the public by understanding the nation’s aspiration for development.
“Take this programme as an example, where we appreciate the efforts by the related K1M which are K1M for Pengalat, Kawang, Benoni, Pikat/Biau, Surati/Lakut, and Kuala, where they have done their best in making the programme a success,” he said during the K1M Semarak Aidilfitri programme for Papar district and the Raya Open House at his residence.
Also present during the event were the Deputy Chief Minister Cum the state Minister of Industrial Development, Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, Deputy Works Minister, Datuk Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin, the state Minister of Youth and Sports, Datuk Tawfiq Abu Bakar Titingan, and the state Deputy Dun Speaker, Datuk Johnny Mositun.
Papar K1M management grant of RM28,000 was also presented during he programme to the K1M combined chairman, Awang Mahmud Pengiran Daud.
Other activities were also held including a coloring contest for Tadika Kemas kindergarten, minigames, karaoke competition, exhibitions products selling, speech session and JBPM safety demonstration. – SayangSabah
