TAWAU: Minister of Rural and Regional Development (KKLW), Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, said allocation for his ministry has not been reduced, as it receive an increase despite the budget being lowered due to the current economy situation.
The additional fund, he said, is thanks to the government’s concern for the people’s wellbeing and nation’s development.
He explained that under the 11th Malaysia Plan (RMK-11), RM4.120 billion from the total RM9.480 billion or 43.5 percent is allocated for Sabah for programmes and projects implementation for the First Rolling Plan (2016-2017).
While for RMK-10 (2011-2015), the government had allocated RM8.177 billion for Sabah, with its First Rolling Plan with allocation of RM4.120 billion has been approved as to continue with the agenda to develop the state.
“It covers 85 projects consisting of 67 new projects and 18 project extensions which will be carried out by KKLW and its agencies,” he said during officiating the Tawau and Sandakan Zones JKKK/KKDB event, here. –SayangSabah
