KKJA sends invite for New Year Luncheon

KOTA KINABALU: Kota Kinabalu Journalists Association (KKJA) has invited Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah and MCA Penampang chairman Datuk Paul Kong to its upcoming annual Chinese New Year luncheon.

The invitations were extended to Tan and Kong by KKJA chairman Jimmy Goh and organising chairman Yong Ted Phen yesterday.

Later on the same day, Goh led KKJA committee members paid a courtesy calls on Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) deputy president Senator Datuk Chin Su Phin and Kota Kinabalu Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KKCCCI) president Datuk Michael Lui to invite them to the event.

Also present were KKJA deputy chairman Situl Mintow, vice chairmen Kwan Sui Wan and Leopold Santos, treasurer Chuah Kim Huat, training officer Fung Ngee Chung, recreation officer Desmond Qwek Tsy Teo and committee member Lo Teck Loong.

The luncheon will be held at Hakka Hall on February 28 starting 12 noon. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman is expected to grace the event at 12.30pm.

There will be ang pows for children while members will also be entitled to draw their own ang pows upon arrival.

Besides that, there will be lion and dragon dances, singing, magic shows and performances by Sabah Vfm deejays to entertain the guests.-Sayangsabah
