KOTA KINABALU: Kinsabina Group supported the recent 3rd Tour of Borneo (TOB) 2015 that promoted the development of cycling in the state at international level by donating RM20,000 to the organisers as part of their company’s corporate social (CSR) responsibility programme.
The donation was handed over by the group’s chief operating officer Datuk Gerald Goh to Cycling Borneo International (CBI) chairman Dato’ Fredie Sua who is the TOB 2015 organising chairman at Wisma Kinsabina.
“As part of our CSR programme, we want to be part of an initiative to support mass participation programme aimed to encourage healthy lifestyle among the community at large through sports and physical activities. We also hope to bring the TOB 2015 from its infancy stage to the next level,” said Goh.
“We sincerely hope that all these efforts will create an impact towards achieving the aim of ‘Fit Malaysia’,” he added.
The TOB 2015 from October 31 to November 4 started in Labuan and ended in Kundasang was won by 7-Elevent Road Bike from the Philippines and Estonian Peeter Pruss representing Rietumudelfin respectively in the team and yellow jersey (individual) classifications.-Sayangsabah
