KUALA LUMPUR: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah, today performed Aidilfitri prayers at the National Mosque, along with more than 10,000 worshippers.
Tuanku Abdul Halim and the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tuanku Hajah Haminah, arrived at the mosque at about 8.30 am.
Their Majesties were accompanied by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and their wives, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and Puan Sri Noorainee Abdul Rahman, respectively.
Several Cabinet ministers, dignitaries and heads of foreign missions also attended the prayers.
The prayers were led by the Grand Imam of the National Mosque, Tan Sri Syaikh Ismail Muhammad, and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom delivered a sermon.-BERNAMA
