TUARAN: A proposal to allow the National Solid Waste Management Department (JPSPN) to operate in Sabah will be tabled before the State Cabinet soon.
Sabah Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Hajiji Noor said it will include the application of acts and laws on solid waste management and public cleaning.
JPSPN is a body under the Ministry of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government.
“We have to get the approval of the state government. This approach will solve the garbage and solid waste problem in Sabah, ” he told reporters after
launching Bio-Green, a machine to dispose of food waste made by Syarikat Milen Bio (Korea) Sdn Bhd, here today.- BERNAMA
