KOTA KINABALU – This year the Junior Chamber International (JCI) marks the 100th years of its JCI Movement. This global movement is a platform to create positive changes in the world.
In Sabah, JCI is not just an activity to engage the community to find targeted solutions for a better society and future. The movement has transformed thousands of communities and impacted more than one billion lives across the globe.
According to the JCI National President 2015 Teoh Boon Kiat, JCI used to be a training ground for future leader.
“We (JCI) have actually create and develop youth a platform to be a future leader and sustainable development is the key for the movement,” he said to the reporters at the Arena Belia, here today.
JCI is a worldwide community of young active citizens aged 18 to 40 who share the belief that in order to create positive change, collective action are needed.
Engaging in activities ranging from sustainable development to international projects; JCI is committed in improving the dynamic of community through participation, leadership and action by promoting positive attributes.
JCI Sabah comprises of 12 Chapters namely JCI Penampang, JCI Kota Kinabalu, JCI Intan, JCI Luyang, JCI Tanjung Aru, JCI Jesselton, JCI Moyog, JCI Tawau, JCI Sandakan, JCI Lahad datu, JCI Merotai and JCI Labuan. – SayangSabah
