KOTA KINABALU: Indonesia and Malaysia authority will continue their cooperation in tackling drug trafficking between the two countries.
Ambassador or Indonesia Republic, Herman Prayitno, said many operations have been launched to catch drug traffickers who enter the state.
“Due to the vast size of Sabah, the operations to tackle drugs syndicates have been facing several problems,” he said in his speech for officiating the announcement of Indonesia Open University for Sabah and Sarawak.
According to him, drugs syndicates in the country are cunning and are well-known for manipulating unsuspecting individuals as their drug mules, giving problem to the authority.
He added that those who are involved with these syndicates are also able get pass the border securities without being detected into the state. – SayangSabah
