KOTA KINABALU: Results for the 2015 Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) for Sabah has increased by 2.57%, to a total of 43.28%, compared to 40.71% in 2014.
In his announcement, the State Education Director, Datuk Jame Alip, said the result for 2015 STAM was released simultaneously in all schools nationwide beginning from 10.00am, today.
“The certificate qualifies students to apply for degree programme at Al Azhar University, Egypt, higher learning institutions in Middle East, as well as local universities according to applicants’ eligibility,” he said.
He also said 74 STAM candidates received remarkable results while seven others get outstanding achievement in the exam.
He was speaking during a press conference to announce the 2015 STAM Exam Result at the state Education Office.
Six schools were involved with STAM exam in SAbha, including the SMA Toh Puan Hajah Rahmah Kota Kinabalu, SMU Islamiah Papar, SMK Agama Al-Irsyadiah Marakau, Ranau, SMA Islam, Tambunan, SMU Islam, Kunak, and SM Islamiah, Tawau.
Jame added that repair works for schools affected by fire or landslides are ongoing and expected to be completed soon for SK Pekan Kiulu, Tuaran, SK Gadon, Beaufort, and SK Bawang, Tamparuli. –SayangSabah
