KOTA BELUD: Kadamaian Tagal Festival has been suggested to be included in Sabah tourism calendar as a new attraction for tourists to the state.
Sabah Political Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry, Ewon Benedick, said the tourism industry in Kota Belud will be enhanced with the additional publicity by including the festival as an official tourists’ attraction in the district.
“In the past two weeks, I attended several invitations to deliver directives for tagal harvest programmes by the villages along Kadamaian River.
“And I get the idea if these harvesting programmes can be held simultaneously as a festival. Surely we can attract more tourists to visit our district and show them how we practice tagal.
“This is why I suggest for Kadamaian Tagal Festival to be included in Sabah tourism calendar,” he said. – SayangSabah
