TENOM: Various efforts by the government have been initiated to improve the condition and increase the participation of women in the national economic growth.

Tenom UMNO Women Chief, Datuk Rahmahjan Sulaiman Khan, said the process to produce woman entrepreneurs is not an easy feat.

She explained that women today are still facing difficulty in incorporating entrepreneurship as part of their culture in their daily lives.

“We do understand that the vision in realizing the Commerce and Industrial Bumiputera Community under DEB is not yet fully complete,” she said during officiating the Entrepreneurship Programme by the Council of Women and Family Development (MPWK) Tenom at Sri Antenom Hall.

In achieving the target, she said, MPWK plays a role in pioneering opportunities and platform for women where they can take part in achieving the vision. – SayangSabah
